Young technicians compete in a technical competition called the "Skill Competition" in a skill for which they have received training. With different competition categories, which include mechatronics, machine assembly, and mobile robots. There are roughly forty categories total. The national competition is contested by the champions of the regional qualifying rounds, which pits individuals and teams against one another to determine who is the greatest in the world.
